Gold Fishin' It!

Today the ladies made their own Gold Fish Crackers and boy was this activity a hit!  When the girls are really quiet, I know they are LOVING what they are doing!  Who doesn't like rolling dough and cutting it out with cute little shapes?  Plus, these taste DIVINE and are so easy to create!  I like that there are no artificial colors or flavors in them.  I am posting the recipe for you at the end of this blog entry.  I'd love to hear from you.

Bare Feet Creations' Gold Fish Crackers
• 1 C all-purpose flour

• 4 T  butter, cut in pieces
• 8 oz cheddar cheese cut in pieces
• 1/2 t salt
• 1/2 t fresh-ground pepper
• A fish cookie cutter. I got mine from Hobby Lobby

1. Pulse the flour, butter, cheese, salt, and pepper together using a food processor until the mixture resembles coarse meal.

2. Pulse in some cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until a ball of dough forms (about 3 to 4 tablespoons).

3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill at least an hour.

4. Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray.

5. Roll the dough out to about 1/8-inch thickness.

6. Cut out as many crackers as possible.

7. Place them 1 inch apart on the prepared baking pans.

8. Bake at 350 F until golden and crisp - 15 to 20 minutes.
